Nova – When I first started this position, I was not given a lot to go on. After some time, I was able to formulate and come up with a plan for our new website. I would be more than happy to be able to continue building this part of our chapter, and expand it to serve our chapter’s needs. I’ve got a lot of ideas that I want to implement into our website, and I think that many of our members have some good ideas to implement too. I think we could make this something more than just, “Oh we have a website,” and I would do a good job of creating it.
Questions
- While this position isn’t programming heavy anymore, it still requires the knowledge of a complicated software. How good are you at learning new software?
- (Nova) I think I’m pretty well versed in learning new software both in my personal time and my degree program. I also think I’ve learned a lot about WordPress since I’ve started.
- This position is less due-date heavy, and will be completed mostly with no oversight. How would you make sure that you are getting significant progress done?
- (Nova) I would definitely try to work with Records and our secretary to try and set loose due dates for certain features so that I’m held accountable for actually doing some work.
- This is also a position in which you’ll need to get creative. What would you want to implement into our website when it’s done?
- (Nova) I would definitely want to implement the family tree so that everyone can see it. I would also want to have a brother of the month page to highlight the brother of the month, and the littlest!
- Why do you want to be Tech Chair?
- (Nova) Because it involves working with things that I love doing and it’s something that I think could be fun and interesting for our chapter and in getting the word out for new members.
